Coffee Gator Hand Drip Coffee Maker
So, you bought Brazilian coffee and settled for the best resource on the market. Is that enough for a great bean juice?
The big thundering answer is a sound
NO!
I have repeatedly stated over and over that BREWING IS ESSENTIAL to making great coffee.
Among the many methods available, the traditional pour-over brewing is as useful as any other, if you know how to do it. (read article)
With a high-quality metal filter that has minuscule holes, this manual brewer from Coffee Gator prevents larger grounds from passing through. Essential tasting oils and just a bit of roast dust are allowed in.
What you get is a richer and more flavored coffee.
The filter is easy to handle and clean.
The durable 15oz-bottle is capable of making three small, or two larger cups and has a protecting silicone band to protect you from the heat.
Brewing
Many brewing methods are great, and this one is no exception, especially if you like that nostalgic feeling of natural coffee on the stove.
Combine it with quality Brazilian coffees and you are in for the best ride of your life.
Making traditional drip filter coffee is exciting and cozy.
This device is ideal for making conventional coffee, and it looks beautiful on your kitchen counter or kitchen table. This feels exciting as it brings that cozy feeling of the old ways.
While I don’t consider it essential, the lack of need for filters can be a plus.
Since you don’t need to keep purchasing filters, and throwing them away, you end up saving money and helping the environment.
In a world of buzzes and gadgets, this device could be considered ancient history, but I disagree. I highly endorse it and hope that Coffee Gator considers making one in a larger size as well for those of us that want to make coffee for a larger group.

Okay after reading your review I’m seriously thinking about buying one of these. And it’s so true, why spend all of this money on good coffee only to not use the right equipment to brew it properly? Seems kinda like paying for a gourmet meal at your favorite restaurant but the food is served on a dirty plate.
Hello, Mike,
Thank you for stopping by and leaving your opinion.
I strongly suggest that, with time, you experiment with more than one brewing method. The traditional Manual Pour over should always be taken as a comparison parameter and everybody should have one. Not everyone likes the same types. I use 3 at home, but really like coffee made from them all. For a list of brewing methods, refer to this article.
Cheers!
The coffee gator hand drip coffee maker is a great way to make coffee for those people who want to make a single cup, for those who are camping, and for those in an off-grid situation.
Instead of using paper filters that you have to throw away, the Coffee Gator is a reusable filter that is high-quality metal with minuscule holes to let only essential tasting oils and a bit of roast dust go through. It also has a silicone band to protect you from the heat.
Coffee made this way is full flavored and much richer. The filter is easy to use and clean, and the grinds can go straight to the compost pile. It comes with a durable 15-oz carafe-like bottle that it sits in, which can make 2 large or 3 small cups of coffee.
And as I said this is perfect for the single apartment dweller who just wants one cup of coffee. It’s also great for the RV’g couple who don’t want to have another plug-in appliance. This allows them to utilize the electricity that would have gone to a coffee pot and let them use it somewhere else.
This is great for people in an off-grid situation who are also closely watching their electricity usage. This way they can make their coffee “au natural” and have a full bodied brew without needing electricity to make it.
Hello, there,
Thank you so much for your thorough analysis. It is a great asset to our review.
