Original Bialetti Moka Express Maker Review

Bialetti Moka praises over 80 years of great coffee with elegant style in a simple process of brewing. Since the mid-50s until present days, Bialetti has sold more than 200 million coffee devices.

Created in 1933, The Original Bialetti Moka Express is the flagship of that successful parade! The iconic device has poured wonderful coffee into millions of cups for hundreds of thousands satisfied consumers.

This is the coffee maker that I have at home and it works perfectly with our local Brazilian coffee.

The Bialetti Moka Express comes in a variety of options:

Sizes

1-Cup, 3-Cup, 6-Cup, 9-Cup, 12-Cup, 18-cup (2-ounce cups)

Colors

Silver, Blue, Red, Orange, Purple, Aluminium

Price range

from $17 to $103

  • Brews coffee in rich, velvety (almost) espresso style in a few minutes. Don’t take it for granted. It’s really great coffee!
  • A top quality refined aluminum classic octagon form spreads heat evenly.
  • Easy to clean and set up pressure valve
  • 2 Year Warranty
  • Italian design and manufacture

There is, by all accounts, a lot of user mistakes with regards to handling the Bialetti.

Customers are advised not to overheat the pot avoiding:

  • Using too high heat.
  • Keeping it over the heat source for too long a time.

Doing any of these things will bring about some bad taste, and the coffee brewer will become coarse and tainted.

Doing these things also brings aluminum residue production to the bottom of the cup.

Dishwashers are not recommended either since it makes the coffee maker look worn off. It doesn’t damage the Bialetti, though.

See what buyers had to say about it:

If you haven’t tried The Original Bialetti Moka Express, I suggest you do it at the first opportunity; either by trying at a friend’s home, in which case I bet you will decide to buy one. Or, by taking one of the lowest risks in your life: following my suggestion to buy it anyway.

You won’t be disappointed.

I was just looking at moka pot at the mall 2 days ago, wondering if I should get it. I really like how moka pots brew the coffee. The aroma is just so wonderful! The great thing about it is the does not require any electricity to produce coffee with crema. Guess it will have less problem compare to espresso machines , nice simple technology that does wonders to coffee.Thank you for the information, now I really want to buy one.

      Hello, Kat,

Thank you so much for your words. I strongly advise you to try the Moka pot. I must remind you, though, that, in my opinion, Moka does not exactly deliver real espresso. It is quite there. It’s the coffee that I preffer, even over real espresso. I think that, on an average home and daily basis, it is not easy to get crema from it.

Take a look at this other article, Coffee Moka Pot Brewing.

      Cheers!
