I have been sorely tempted to buy a programmable coffee machine for a while now. It must be great to wake up in the morning to the smell of coffee and a bonus that it is made and ready for you to drink.
Do you have a review for a machine that makes three cups or less and is also programmable?
That is a great idea! I’m going to put that on my to-do list. I don’t even know if there’s anything specific for 3 cups, but I guess, 4 will do if we don’t find 3-cup machines, huh?
Thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts.

The article about the Best 3-cup Coffee Makers is on!
Wow, it looks like regular coffee brewers have come a long way. I’ve been using K-Cups for the past few years as a convenience thing, but I’ve never really enjoyed the dulled flavor you tend to get with them. Your review was very helpful. You might want to consider adding at what temperature these machines are capable of brewing at. Coffee should be brewed at ~200 degrees for optimal extraction of flavor from the beans, not many commercial brewers can pull that off.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Why don’t you try the Peet’s Coffee Brazil Minas Naturals K-Cups. Or maybe read this post Brazilian Keurig Coffee Options.
Hey there. I enjoyed your post reviewing the various coffee machines. I drink coffee on occasion. It’s always a bit of a stress for me when I go out to buy a new coffee maker. There are so many brewing options that you can get really lost. Great Job!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I drink coffee every day. I don’t know what I would do without it 🙂 I’ve had a few coffee makers break on me over the past two years and I’m looking to buy another one. It’s very helpful to have reviews like this listing some quality coffee makers that are actually worth something and aren’t just junk. It also takes some of the stress away of having to go out and do a ton of research on coffee makers. So thank you for saving me time!! Information laid out like this is always helpful.
Thanks for sharing your your impressions and support about my coffee blog post.
There is no doubt I must have a programmable coffee machine. Its great to set up your brew the night before and wake up to a fresh pot. I also love a dual coffee brew machine and hot water dispenser for tea. There is definitely a market for coffee machines, we all want different things! I would imagine your top rated drip coffee machines was difficult to choose. Great List!
Well, it is not that easy to make such a list since the variables are many and people have different priorities.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. Cheers!
You have a wonderful website! I am a coffee lover myself. I use a k-cup machine, which I’ve been using for 2 years. I’m a single person so I can’t use a regular coffee maker (or it would make too much for just me). I admit with the k-cup machines it does not give off the aroma like regular coffee makers do!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers!
I love coffee and I love coffee machines! It’s refreshing to see great products with affordable prices in one place where I can actually decide which one to choose without having to scour the www just to compare machines. I suggest elaborating more on what these machines do though. It will help customers decide on the perfect machine for them more!
If you click on their names, or on “(read review)” you will be able to find specific reviews about each of them. Some of the reviews are not yet ready, but on their way. We will discuss a form of making that more obvious. Thanks for the heads-up. Cheers!
Pretty straight forward page about coffee machines. I don’t think I’ve had brazilian coffee before, but it sounds good. I have a kurig at my work, but my boss buys the coffee from Sam’s Club and it doesn’t taste like Brazil. I like diner coffee so I would just buy that fifteen dollar black and decker and call it good.
Never underestimate the power of the 15-dollar Black and Decker! Well used, it will bring the full power of your Dark Cuppa. Haha Ok, enough of that.
You probably drink more Brazilian coffee than you think. Our beans are highly used in blends all over the world. Regardless of what machine you are using, or type brew, you can do 2 things to improve the quality of your coffee:
1 – don’t let the coffee boil.
2 – Try a roast that hasn’t been burned. Coffee should have a chocolate, or demi-dark chocolate at most, color.
Do better machines and better roasts/blends make a difference? They certainly do, and a lot. However you can improve your Brewster with the exact setup you already have, just by pay attention to the topics above. Besides, no setup can help you much if keep boiling your brew. Cheers!
I just recently got into coffee. never really drank it until there was a baby in the house and I always felt Zombified at work. It’s good stuff!
I remember as a kid going to the store that sold coffee and all the accessories. Smelled wonderful but when I actually tasted it, well, I wouldn’t describe it as “wonderful.” A bit overpowering for a teenager.
I have a basic drip machine and home and I was wondering if a machine can improve the taste. Am I going to notice a dramatic difference in taste if I put the same coffee in a high-end machine instead of old Mr. Coffee?
I machine can make a difference, but not as much as brewing procedure, and coffee quality (in that order). From my personal experience, I’d say that the two major influences of a drip coffee machine on your cuppa are related to temperature; while dripping and while keeping your coffee warm.
If those two issues are done under too high a heat, your coffee will be spoiled. If the machine is a coffee boiler, the machine is a coffee spoiler. Other than that, any simple system can provide fantastic results as long as you don’t boil your coffee.
All that said, it’s important to point that, even when you do not burn your coffee, brewing methods (and machines) can alter the subtle flavors of you final product since it’s impossible to equally manage all variables every time. Even with the same machine. However, I don’t find that to be a negative thing. I love variety and have never found a method that I did not like. Cheers!
