Villa Cafe Gourmet Coffee from Minas Gerais

Villa Cafe Gourmet CoffeeVilla Cafe Gourmet Coffee is a great medium roast mojo; A full flavor with chocolate notes and a great price. Don’t miss trying this one!

This product is a single origin pure Arabica from an outstanding plantation region.

It is smooth and creamy with a full body and hints of chocolate and caramel.

Grown in the Minas Gerais, this product is qualified as one of the best options available.

Your cup of mojo just smells the greatest with Villa Café!

Villa Cafe Gourmet Coffee: Region

Villa Café is an authentic single-origin South Minas brand from Carmo da Cachoeira region, near Tres Corações – One of the best growing regions in the world.

South of Minas Gerais, in Brazil, is a treasured area, cherished for its 200-year-old farms.

The land has fertile volcanic soils and great natural water abundance.

Geographic conditions are perfect for growing,  combining latitude, and altitude, with fantastic weather for their plantation.

Villa Café is a small 100-year company that runs just 3 farms and belongs to the Sustainable Coffees of Brazil Federation.

Villa Cafe Gourmet Coffee: The Product

The Federation helps the keep full control of their product.

So they control it from planting through processing and marketing.

This is important because it helps maintain the flavor at a top quality status.

Specialty gourmet mojo should be roasted medium to enhance the best qualities of the beans.

They also keep it simple:

  • Regular
  • Decaf
  • whole beans
  • ground

No fancy pansy juggling.

100% Arabica coffee is the best that you can get regarding seed type. Anyone that says otherwise is either trying to con you or doesn’t know anything about coffee.

Your cup of coffee will come out with a strong aroma and a full soft taste.

Brewed correctly, it will produce a medium body, medium acidity with caramel and chocolate notes; A delicious and balanced, highly palatable, pleasing aftertaste

The ground version is a bit too thin and tends to clog a bit, so works better with filter pour over types of brewing.

The whole bean roast version will work all the way with any method as long as you grind it accordingly.

The significant advantage of this prize-winner Brazilian coffee is that Villa Café is very careful in keeping its traditional ways of coffee producing and caring.

Some people might find the price a little above their league, but if people break down their price into cost/cup, they end up seeing that it could be worth it.

I can highly recommend this coffee for the flavor, quality and cost-benefit ratio.

It’s an ideal choice for those who appreciate a gourmet coffee and put quality above price. I hope you try it.

    Hi Netto,
First of all, I love your website it’s clear and easy to navigate. I found your review very interesting as my husband and I love coffee, especially in the morning!
To be honest, I’ve never tried coffee with chocolate and it sounds really tasty to me, I must try this out. I use to bake chocolate cakes with coffee and it was absolutely delicious. Just one question, please. Do I need an espresso machine to use the villa coffee or can I just boil water?
Thank you for this excellent review!

      Hello, Daniella,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I must clear something out, though. That coffee does NOT have chocolate added to it. Its just has some chocolaty “hints” on its taste. Be aware tho, that that type of evaluation is a bit subjective and some people feell those notes differently.

About brewing, the coffee can be made traditionally. You can boil you water, but, please, avoid boiling the coffee. It will spoil the taste.

They have 2 types of coffee, decaf and normal medium roast. You can choose from just roasted, or ground options. If you need a coarser grind, I suggest that you try the whole bean option and grind it yourself to your need.

What is your type of brewing?

      Cheers!

I just can’t start my day without having a good, strong cup of coffee. Perhaps even two or three. Quality is so important, there’s nothing that you can so easily taste than coffee that isn’t up to high standards. I’ve never heard of this particular brand, but it seems very good. I will be checking them out.

Hello, I have a Vila Café pod machine, but I cannot find the pods anywhere. There is a website in US but it is discontinued or closed. Do you have any suggestions as to what other type of pods I can use with this machine? I would really appreciate it. And thanks so much for your site because it is very informative.
